Pack Chat Messenger allows members to use standard messaging actions while exploring new packs, managing notifications and invites, and sharing packs with nearby residents.
Can I turn off notifications for new messages?

Why can't I @ mention more people in my message?
Right now, the maximum amount of pack members you can mention in a single message is 10. We are working behind the scenes to review your product feedback to change this in the future.
How do I share a picture or video to a Pack?
- Log into the 📱 app
- Select the 🐺 Pack you want to share a picture or video in
- Select the 📷 camera button
- Choose photos and/or videos you want to share by selecting them from your camera roll or taking a live photo and/or video using your camera
- Select the ⬆️ send button
ℹ️ You can only send up to 8 photos/videos per message!
ℹ️ You can only share videos that are 25 mb or less.
How do I share a location to a Pack?
- Log into the 📱 app
- Select the 🐺 Pack you want to share a location in
- Select the ➕ button
- Select the Add Location📍 button
- Choose your current location or home location from the default list of addresses
- Start typing the address of the location you want to share
- Select the address from the list
- A map preview of the location displays in the message box, that allows users to select it and navigate to the location from their device's gps.
- Select the ⬆️ send button
ℹ️ You can only send 1 location per message!
How do I invite someone to a pack?
- Log into the 📱 app
- Select the 🐺 Pack you want to invite someone to
- Select the title of the Pack
- Select the 👤➕Invite button
- You can invite users using two different methods:
- Search for a user in the Howl Directory and select the INVITE button
- Select the Contacts tab and search for someone in your contacts and select the INVITE button
🙅 You cannot invite someone to your street pack! These packs are only available to verified Howl users who live on your street!
Does a pack admin need to approve the invite request?
Yes for private packs, all invitations require Administrator approval, even invites sent directly from the Admin themselves. We are working to correct this shortly in the coming weeks!
Is it possible to opt out of receiving Pack invitations?

How do I share a Pack?
- Log into the 📱 app
- Select the 🐺 Pack you want to share
- Select the title of the Pack
- Select the 👤➕Invite button
- Select the 🔗 Share link button
- A share sheet will display for you to easily share the pack to different sources
🙅 You cannot share a Private and Hidden pack! They are private and hidden for a reason!
Can I share a pack to multiple people at once?
Yes! Sharing a pack will let users easily view the pack and they can choose to join the pack right away by selecting the join button or requesting to join a private pack!
How do I leave a Pack?
- Log into the 📱 app
- Select the 🐺 Pack you want to leave
- Select the title of the Pack
- Select the ➡️ "Leave pack" button
- Select the "Lave pack" button on the confirmation tray
How do I report a message?
- Log into the 📱 app
- Select the 🐺 Pack you want to report a message in
- Long press down on the message you want to report
- Select "Report to pack admins" or "Report to Howl"
- Select "Report" in the confirmation pop-up
- A confirmation notifications displays
ℹ️ If you report a message to a pack admin, the message will stay visible in the pack until the pack admin decides to remove or keep the message.
If you report a message to Howl, the message will be removed right away until a Howl admin decides to remove it permanently or keep the message in the pack.
How do I report a pack?
- Log into the 📱 app
- Select a 🐺 Pack you want to report
- Select the title of the Pack
- Select the 🚩 "Report pack" button
- Enter a reason for why you are reporting a pack and any supporting images
- Select "Send report"
How do I delete or copy my message?
- Log into the 📱 app
- Select a 🐺 Pack you want to delete or copy your message in
- Long press down on your message you want to delete or copy
- Select "Delete" or "copy"
- If deleting, Select "Delete" in the confirmation pop-up
- A confirmation notifications displays
How do I edit my message?
- Log into the 📱 app
- Select a 🐺 Pack you want to delete or copy your message in
- Long press down on your message you want to edit
- Select "Edit message" 📝
- Edit the message
- Select the ⬆️ send button
