How do I become an unverified user?
- 🔄 Download the Howl application from the App Store or Google Play Store
- 📱Follow the prompts to create a Howl account
- After you enter your 🔢 phone number, accept the 📜 Howl Handbook, and enter your full name and street address you should:
- 👁️ Review to see if our instant verification method worked
- 🏠 If yes, continue creating your Howl account
- 🚫 If no, the other options to verify your address will display
- ☝️On the verification screen, select the option to use the limited version of the application
- ✅ Complete the unverified experience sign up flow and you will be redirected into the application as an unverified user
Why do I have limited access?
The application's core functions are driven by your verified 🏠 home address. As a result, you must verify to gain access to all our features and experiences.
Your home address is never shared with other Howl users.
What is the benefit of being an unverified user?
You have the opportunity to 👀 browse our public newsfeed and map where verified users near your unverified town and zip-code create 📍locally relevant content. You can explore packs nearby but must verify to join a pack. The full benefits of the product are experienced as a verified user.
How do I become verified?
There are several prompts throughout the unverified experience that will redirect you back to the screen that provides you with our verification options (💳, 🔢, 💌).
Why am I unverified after selecting the Home Mailer option?
The Home Mailer option sends a 💌 postcard to your home address, which is our 😦 longest method of verification. Until you receive the PIN sent to your home address, you will be unverified.
Our suggested verification method is 💳 drivers license. You can verify this way at any time, even after requesting a Home Mailer.
