Public groups can be created or joined by any Howl user. The purpose of these groups is to be able to connect with others on similar interests, whether they are in your community or not.
Posts to public groups can be seen within the feed of the specific group and on a user’s group page feed. Posts can include a location, if applicable.
If there is a post made to a public group with a location, it will be pinned on the map. Any Howl user will be able to see these pins on the map, but will have to join the group to be able to read any other posts made to the group.
Any post to a public group without a location, will only be seen in the feed of the specific group and on a user’s group page feed.
