Pack

Your Pack comprises those who you’d want to alert during an emergency. This can include family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, or anyone you choose to notify when you’re in trouble.

Pack Management

Create and Manage your Pack, and see other Packs of which you are a member, all from one location.

  1. Click on your icon on the top right of the screen.
  2. Click “Packs”, here you will see “My Pack” and “Packs I’m in”. Here you can add Pack members, remove them, find existing Howl users to join your Pack, and invite nonusers to join Howl and your Pack, as well as view all pending Pack requests.

Pack Invite

To be able to alert your loved ones, you’ll need to add them to your Pack. They must accept your Pack invitation and download the Howl app to be able to see alerts from you. To invite your loved ones to your Pack;

  1. Click on your icon on the top right of the screen.
  2. Click “Packs”, here you will see “My Pack”
  3. Tap the purple icon on the bottom right of the screen. Those who you invite will receive the invitation via text message. (standard text message rates apply)

Pack Requests

  1. Click on your icon on the top right of the screen.
  2. Click “Packs”, here you will see “Pack Requests” on the top of the screen only if you have any Pack Requests.

Pack Chat

When an alert is fired, any user that is in your Pack will receive your location and 911 dispatcher’s contact. On their screen, they will see a “Pack Chat” button. As the user that set off the alert, you will see this after the alert has been fired.

Your Pack chat is essentially a group chat just for you and your Pack members, so they can communicate about your alert. For example, someone might type “Lucy are you alright?” while another says, “I’ve called the police and they are on their way.” This gives your Pack piece of mind after you fire an alert, and if you have the ability to type, you can communicate with all of them at the same time.
